The University of Iowa offers a number of part-time, hourly student jobs. These positions are available on campus as well as off-campus. Students can work upto 40 hours per day during the summer. Part-time, hourly jobs don't require students to sign up for summer classes. Employers need to be aware of Iowa's laws regarding student employment. Students can only work for twenty hours each academic year under the law. Students are only allowed to work 40 hours per week during winter, spring, summer, and summer holidays.
